Dr. Mendez has been practicing Anesthesia and Pain Management for nearly a decade. He trained at Harvard’s Brigham and Women's Pain Management Program, the nation’s top ranked interventional pain management fellowship. He is boarded in Pain Management by the American Board of Anesthesia and American Board of Anesthesia Pain Medicine. Dr. Mendez has practiced in both the private and academic sectors, where he has received multiple teaching excellence awards and has an impeccable reputation for excellence and integrity amongst his peers.

Dr. Mendez has the training and experience to diagnose and treat the complete spectrum of pain conditions. He specializes in advanced pain management techniques including complex back and neck pain, cancer pain and end of life pain management, complex extremity pain (CRPS/RSD), Neuromodulation for refractory pain after back or neck surgery (Failed Back Surgery Syndrome), compression fractures of the spine, and many other pain syndromes.
